4 sleeps until Father Christmas arrives. I came home last night and my very own Christmas fairy had been AGAIN. I am so lucky. There were some gorgeous huge snowflakes and tissue balls (if you've been in the shop lately, you'll know what I mean) up in our back living room and he'd hung up our Christmas cards using the little mini Santa pegs (didn't even know that the Christmas fairy knew where they were).
Need lots of coffee today because was woken by my Christmas fairy at 2.30am getting up to get some Rennies - part of our dinner last night was (whisper this bit) a ready made thing that Mr R. had bought and I don't know if he's just not used to it but I tried to read my crappy crime novel for an hour but gave up : )
But, I'm not grumpy because I'm going to see my grandaughter's first nativity play today and I'm super excited. She's not going to be happy as I think her family (both sides) and friends are going to make up about half of the audience and she didn't even want anyone to go and see her - so much so, she tried to tell me the wrong date for the performance. Little toad.
So, ho, ho, ho. Have a lovely day and remember be good. Only 4 more sleeps until that lovely bearded, slightly fat old man sneaks into your house (strange thing is, I feel like it's Christmas every day)
PS, if my lovely bearded, slightly fat old man reads this (he occasionally does) can he take the hint about 'crappy crime novel' and given that he's admitted that he's not quite finished his Christmas shopping, see if my Santa could ensure that a new novel could be part of his £25 Christmas present budget???????
PPS, remember, I post our daily menu each day (well, most days). Click on the menu page above for details.
